Scouting Alumni Newsletter – June 2026

Dear fellow Scouting Alum,

Summer is here — and, with it, National Great Outdoors Month!

As we like to say, you can’t spell Scouting without “outing.” So, while our adventures happen year-round, this is a fitting moment to reflect on everything the outdoors has given us to appreciate: camping and hiking, s’mores, the scent of pine, a view earned by a strenuous hike, the stillness of a forest at night, a mountain meadow at first light.

Scouting (and our parents) introduced most of us alumni to these moments and so many more — and, for me, they've been a source of renewal, inspiration, and calm ever since.

So, if there’s a young person in your life who could use a dose of the great outdoors, what better month to take them on a hike and share a few stories of the adventures Scouting gave you?

Yours in Scouting,
