Dr. Matt Watson - New Special Activities Lead
An Eagle Scout, born and raised in the Blue Ridge Council Scouting program, Matt has been a shining example and passionate advocate for continued involvement in the Scouting program. In the years following the twilight of his youth membership, Matt vigorously pursued his undergraduate, graduate, and professional studies all while playing an integral role in the success of many national events ranging from the 2019 World Scout Jamboree to the inaugural National Gathering of Alumni.
Over the years, Matt has also participated in and led various selection committees for Scouting awards, recognitions, and scholarships. Most recently, Matt has directly led Scouting Alumni’s coordination and selection efforts for the Territories Alumnus of the Year Awards. Dr. Watson is currently working as a dentist in the Lowcountry of South Carolina.
