Philmont Staff Association (PSA) Holds Annual Reunion

by Mike Matzinger

The Philmont Staff Association (PSA) gathered in Tulsa, Oklahoma for the 2025 Homecoming Reunion — a celebration of shared experiences, lifelong friendships, and continued service to Philmont Scout Ranch.

For 52 years, the PSA has united generations of Philmont staff, both past and present, through meaningful opportunities to give back. From hands-on service projects across the Ranch to backcountry treks and cavalcades, members continue to embody the spirit of adventure and stewardship that defines Philmont.

But the PSA’s impact extends well beyond the trails. Through the generosity of its members, the association has raised millions of dollars to improve the quality of life for seasonal staff and fund scholarships that support their educational and professional growth. These efforts ensure that the legacy of Philmont’s transformative experiences continues for years to come.

What began as a simple vision in the mid-1960s has grown into a vibrant, nationwide community of dedicated individuals whose commitment helps Philmont continue to “Change Lives” — for Scouts, staff, and future generations alike.
