A century of leadership started with a simple idea: give young people a place to grow, lead, and belong.
This past week, Scouts BSA Troop 123 in Winter Haven, Florida, celebrated 100 years of service, gathering Eagle Scouts, Scoutmasters, and families from three generations. Inside a simple log-and-stone scout house, stories were shared, and friendships were renewed.
Today’s scouts are preparing for high-adventure experiences like Philmont, learning skills from navigation to horseback riding, and building confidence that carries into their futures. Some aim for military service, others for careers in aerospace engineering, but all are gaining something deeper: the ability to lead, adapt, and serve.
Congratulations, Troop 123.
Invest in young people, and you don’t just change their future, you strengthen the future for all of us.
