WKYC Studios has a great story on Cecil Williams who recently celebrated his 106th birthday. A proud Boy Scout and dedicated Scoutmaster, Cecil embodied the Scout Law and inspired countless youths. He cherished nature and taught valuable outdoor skills.

The Council Distinguished Alumnus Award honors Alumni who have demonstrated and inspired others through their positive actions, accomplishments, and devotion to their profession, hobby, community, and beliefs. In other words, it recognizes Scouting America Alumni who use the skills they have learned from Scouting to positively impact the community.

“Aaron on Scouting” highlights quotes from scouts and volunteers regarding the name change. NBC Nightly News Kids Edition is also featured.

Selby Chipman, a member of the inaugural class of female Eagle Scouts, addressed more than one thousand volunteers at Scouting America’s 2024 National Annual Meeting.

Tim Brown, hailing from Nicholasville, Kentucky, is the 2024 National Alumnus of the Year.

Kay Trick, hailing from New Berlin, Pennsylvania, is the 2024 honoree for Territories 10, 11, 12, and 13.

Keel Ross, hailing from Morrison, Colorado, is the 2024 honoree for Territories 1, 2, and 3.

Dr. Spencer A. Long, hailing from Prospect Heights, Illinois, is the 2024 honoree for Territories 4, 5, 6, and 9.

Bill Litton, hailing from St. Cloud, Florida, is the 2024 honoree for Territories 7, 8, 14, 15, and 16.

The Alumni Association is pleased to announce the 2024 Territories Alumnus of the Year recipients.
