Author: Mike Matzinger

In 2016, the world was introduced to Robby Heil — the heart of the Novi High School football team and its beloved hydration manager. With his signature smile and unwavering spirit, Robby’s story, shared by World News Tonight, touched millions across the nation.

Now, eight years later, Robby continues to inspire as he celebrates a major life milestone: his graduation.

Robby is a proud Scouting alum of Scouts BSA Troop 407, chartered by the Church of the Holy Family in Novi, Michigan. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, leading a service project that exemplified leadership and care for the community: the construction and placement of 15 wren birdhouses across Novi’s Rotary Park, carried out with two dedicated teams of Scouts and adults.

A heartfelt thank you to David Muir and ABC News for continuing to share Robby’s incredible journey — a testament to perseverance, joy, and the power of community.
