Dr. Jeff Bozanic is a research scientist, underwater explorer, and lifelong member of Scouting America. An Eagle Scout (Class of 1972), Jeff currently serves as the Committee Chairman for Venturing Crew 774 in the Orange County Council, as a member of the Scouting Alumni Council Support Subcommittee, and contributes to national initiatives as part of the NESA Communications Team. He is also a former Scoutmaster of a female Scouts BSA troop.
Jeff’s outstanding service to youth and Scouting has earned him numerous accolades, including the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award, the Silver Beaver Award, and the Western Region Alumnus of the Year Award. He is passionate about advancing conservation and leadership through high-adventure programming and international expeditions.
Scouting is truly a family tradition in the Bozanic household, as Jeff’s son John-Aaron (Eagle Scout, Class of 2016), earned the Summit Award (2021) and was the first recipient of the Extraordinary Venturer of the Year Award. His daughter, Taleah (Eagle Scout, Class of 2021), is a member of the Inaugural Class of Female Eagle Scouts and a Summit Award recipient (2024) as well.
