Description:

The Communication Team of the Scouting Alumni association is responsible for connecting alumni and supporters with the greater Scouting community. The Communication Team is seeking a volunteer to support the maintenance and ongoing improvement of the association website.

The ideal candidate is comfortable with website management, highly organized, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with fellow volunteers.

Expected Tasks:

  • Maintain and update the Scouting Alumni website to ensure content remains current, accurate, and relevant
  • Monitor website performance, including page load speed, broken links, and overall user experience
  • Collaborate with team members to upload and organize content, graphics, and multimedia resources
  • Take initiative in identifying improvements and completing tasks with minimal supervision
  • Support consistency in branding and messaging across website pages

Successful candidates will have skills and experience in:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skill
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Previous experience in website management, IT, digital communications, or related volunteer roles is an asset

Time expectation:

Volunteers are expected to contribute approximately 2 to 3 hours per week. This includes task completion, brief status updates, and participation in a short virtual monthly meeting.
