From a childhood of poverty during the depression to a multi-billionaire, Distinguished Eagle Scout H. Ross Perot was a self-made Texas billionaire. He also launched and ran two unsuccessful campaigns for the U.S. Presidency.
During his childhood, he delivered newspapers from the back of his pony, Miss Bee. Perot graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy. After his military service, he became one of the top salesmen at IBM.
SPerot built and grew the giant computer services company Electronic Data Services (EDS) and then sold it to Hewlett-Packard $2.5 billion. His next company, Perot Systems Corporation, was also successfully established and sold to Dell Computers for $3.9 billion.
Many of his books have been made into movies such as Half Moon Street in 1986 and The Mosquito Coast in 1986.
